Projects and Publications (Pro&Pub) is a program developed by GLADEL aimed at stimulating scientific research and publication in relation to different aspects of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) using mainly data obtained from the original GLADEL (1997) and/or GLADEL 2.0 cohorts ( 2019) and the educational projects “Let´s talk about Lupus”, “Falando do Lupus”, and “Is it Lupus?”

 

Objectives

 

• To encourage the development of research projects within the GLADEL network, using data from both its scientific and educational areas.
• To provide guidance for project development.
• To facilitate the publication of the projects in indexed journals, preferably in English.

Recipients

 

• Researchers of the GLADEL network: physicians, epidemiologists, biologists, specialized nurses, postgraduate students, professionals from other health fields, among others.
• Researchers not part of GLADEL but sponsored by a GLADEL member or center (when applying for a Pro&Pub grant, they must submit an application for admission to GLADEL according to current regulations) Click Here.

Proposal

Researchers whose proposals are accepted by the GLADEL Scientific Committee will obtain:

 

• Access to the requested data from the GLADEL registry or educational project.
• Service from the GLADEL statistics team.
• GLADEL mentoring service both for methodological development of the project and for the preparation and review of the manuscript for publication.
• Fee of up to 2,500 US dollars allocated to each research project, depending on its characteristics.

Requirements

Scholarship application:

 

• Research proposal, using the attached form Project Presentation Format.
• Letter of recommendation from the Head of the Service or Institution of a center belonging to the GLADEL network.

 

By obtaining the Pro&Pub scholarship:

 

• Present a project progress report to the GLADEL Scientific Committee every 3 months.
• Present the results in an abstract format at national/international congresses (EULAR, ACR, PANLAR, Lupus Congress) (maximum time 12 months).
• Publish the results in an English-language journal indexed in PubMed (maximum time 18 months).
